About ELDT
What is Entry-Level Driver Training?
Since February 2022 the federal government requires every new Class A driver to complete ELDT at a school on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. It has two parts: theory (with a final assessment you must pass with 80% or more) and behind-the-wheel training on the range and public roads. When you finish, we report your training to the registry so the state lets you take your skills test.
